Free Tax Help at Monroe County Public Library

Volunteers will help LOW INCOME and ELDERLY residents fill out and file their state and federal income taxes. Volunteers will also assist residents who are eligible to receive tax refunds from the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). The EITC can result in a significant income boost - up to $4,500 for those who qualify! IRS Trained volunteers will offer assistance to low income families / individuals and the elderly during February, March, and early April.
This service at the library site is coordinated by the local AARP Tax Aide Program.
Help is offered on a first-come basis - appointments are not available. Sign-in at the door begins a half-hour prior to service. Only those present may sign in.
