The Old-Fashioned Independence Day Celebration in Blackwell features a parade, family activities in the park, games, music and concessions. Watch the patriotic parade make its way downtown at 11am, and enter to win the decorated bicycle and wagon contest. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets to the Old-Fashioned Independence Day Celebration and enjoy an afternoon filled with sack races, three-legged races, wheelbarrow races, turtle races and a free public swim at Memorial Pool. At dusk, the sky will light up as the celebration concludes with a fireworks display.
