Often associated with Taoism (~Samkhya Yoga), Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong ("Chee-Gong"; Chi Kung, Ki Gong) normalize and enhance the energies of the body. The smooth, natural, mindful movements of Qigong and Tai Chi stimulate the internal organs, increase blood circulation, and promote the healthy flow of internal energy which the Chinese call Qi (Chi). These practices overlap Chinese/Tibetan and Indian yogas ... many Chinese/Tibetan Qigong practices are identical to Indo-Tibetan Maha Yoga [Kundalini Yoga Tantra]).
Tai Chi Chuan is a Chinese martial art (just like Shao Lin Chuan). Chinese martial arts usually include Qigong practices to normalize and enhance the flow of internal energy.
This foundation course provides detailed instruction in the Yang Short Form and the natural, safe practices of Tai Chi Qigong and Tao Yin: relaxed coiling/twisting, rotating, bending, stretching, rocking, and walking exercises coordinated with the phases of breathing. You will not find more comprehensive Tai Chi Chuan training in this area.
Complete this course and enter open sessions to progress through KARMA's Tai Chi Chuan health- and combat-oriented curriculum.
