Yes We Can Billings-November meeting

Please join us for our next meeting on November 8 (next Sunday) at 4:00 p.m. at First Congregational Church, downtown Billings. Theresa Keavney, Executive Director for Montana Conservation Voters, will come and speak to us about climate change legislation and how to get involved. It's time to start educating ourselves and preparing to be involved on the next big issue on President Obama's agenda! Our community service this month is Food Bank volunteering. The new food bank facility is open now, and on November 10th, "Turkey Tuesday" will start the annual Holiday Food Challenge with a marathon effort to collect food donations, especially turkeys. The food bank will be open that day from 5 a.m. till 5 p.m. to accept donations and to offer tours of the new building. Let's bring food items to the meeting, and make it into a food drive! Collect food or contributions from others, if you can. At the meeting we will have a date on which we can go volunteer and help with food sorting and stocking, or whatever they need. Our December meeting will be a Happy Birthday party for us- celebrating our one year as a group. We can discuss at the meeting what we would like to do. Come with ideas!
