Event details: Clark Days
Description
Clark Day honors Captain William Clark's stop at Pompeys Pillar during the return trip along the Yellowstone River. He climbed the sandstone rock and signed his name on July 25, 1806. Clark named the rock for Pomp and the Pillar remains the last physical evidence along the Lewis & Clark Trail.
Free Admission from 5:00pm Saturday to 5:00pm Sunday
Free tent or RV dry camping Saturday night
Park rangers on duty all night

Directions:
Clark Days will be held at Pompeys Pillar National Monument which is 28 miles east of Billings. From Interstate 94, use exit 23 and follow signs one mile to Pompeys Pillar National Monument.
