40th ANNIVERSARY REPORT BACK

EVENING INCLUDES PANEL PRESENTATION, GROUP DISCUSSION, SLIDE SHOW, VIDEO, MUSIC, AND INFORMATION ABOUT FUTURE BRIGADES TO CUBA
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution and the return of the 40th anniversary Venceremos Brigade, which sent over 140 North Americans to Cuba July 19-August 3 in support of the Cuban people, the Bay Area contingent of the brigade will report back to the community on November 14. Scheduled for 7 -10 pm at 522 Valencia St., 3rd floor, the evening includes detailed reports from recent brigadistas on the state of Cuban health care, civil defense, labor, economy, race relations, literacy, and sexuality and gender issues. There will be ample time for questions and answers. Video, music, discussion of participation on future brigades, and socializing will round out the evening.
Donations are appreciated, but not required. All proceeds support the work of the Bay Area contingent of the Venceremos Brigade.
