Featuring the instrument Setar, with the delicate, intricate and rhythms of the Tombak and the frame drum Daf, this concert will feature different and unique passages, all specific to the evening and its "haal" - a term central to the art of improvisation in Persian classical music, which refers to the feeling and spirit of the performers in the moment.

Hossein Alizadeh has been the forefront of musical life in Iran for more than three decades and is one of the most important figures in the world of Persian music today.
