Peter Chernin graduated from Cal with a major in English in 1974, and moved to New York to become a book editor. Soon he came back to California and launched his astonishingly successful media career, working his way up from a TV producer for Showtime to become President and Chief Operating Officer of News Corporation, and Chairman and CEO of the Fox Group.
Hear Chernin in conversation with incoming English Department Chair Samuel Otter and meet him at the reception to follow.
