"One man loop riot ninja" Tony Smiley -- from Portland -- has become one of the busiest musicians in the Pacific NW. His unique, no-holds-barred performances truly stand out in this internationally-recognized music scene. Dance floor beats and wah-wah guitars punctuate his appealing rock epics. The high-energy compositions including folk, human beat box, 80's new wave, and rock-n-roll are truly awesome. His wide-ranging influences include some of classic rock's finest: Prince, David Bowie, Pixies, INXS, and Jimi Hendrix.

Smiley's shows and recordings are enhanced by Mr. Kevin Yonkin's (Mixer/Co Producer) capable knob twisting. As he mixes in real time, stereo effects and levels are adjusted as looping instruments are played. Smiley says, "I lay down a rhythm guitar lick and loop it and then I lay down a bass lick and loop it, then beatbox and then I sing and play lead over that. When the time comes, I also use the loop pedal to sing harmony or back-up vocals."

Jeremy Wilson's (Dharma Bums/Pilot) MastanMusic Label is the marketing force behind Driving Myself Sane, Tony Smiley's second release. 2008 will find Smiley on the road shocking audiences nightly, providing some of the most mind-blowing rock shows the world has ever seen.

"His sound is so thick and engulfing? even the hippest of hipsters drinks it up and booty shakes with wild abandonment; one part road trip, one part thrift shop record collection, and fifty zillion parts dreamy endless summer soundscape". (Justin Morrison, Plastic Landscaper)
