Description
A couple other Assistant Organizers would be much appreciated :) **************************************************************************** Rattlesnake Ledge Elevation Gain: 1300 ft Time up: 55 minutes Distance: 4 Miles Round Trip Plus optional add-on at the top where we have a trail to the left that we can take for a few extra miles or for a certain amount of time, since this hike is so short by itself. This popular hike is for paid memberships only, so please be sure you have paid your annual $5 dues or note in RSVP if you will bring it in cash to the hike... Pretty gentle trail and takes about an hour to hike up...or 15 mins more for slow pokes. The view is amazing at the top, it's on a rocky ledge...pack a lunch for a snack at the top. The latest revision of the Rattlesnake Ledge Trail, which has followed several routes over the years, is the best so far for hikers who enjoy spicing up a workout with scenery. Bring a camera!! Let's meet at the trailhead parking lot and ready to hike at starting time. Carpooolers can meet at the SE side of the Eastgate park n ride 45 mins to an hour before hike to consolidate into as few cars as possible. Carpooling from P&R encouraged, post ride offers with your cell# in your RSVP and email each other to figure it out...but please BE at the trailhead ready to hike at the posted hiking start time... GETTING THERE -- On Interstate 90 eastbound, take Exit 32, turn right on 436th Avenue Southeast (Cedar Falls Road) and continue to the end of the road and parking area for Rattlesnake Ledge (920 feet). Or, continue a bit farther on the road to the new parking area and trailhead for the Iron Horse Trail. However, that is a state park and a $5 fee is charged to park there. When the Education Center is closed, restrooms can be found along the shore on both sides of the lake. The western trailhead (Rattlesnake Mountain Trail) is just off Exit 27 from I-90, at Snoqualmie Point, elevation 980 feet. TRAIL DATA -- From Rattlesnake Lake to Rattlesnake Ledge, it is about 4 miles round trip, elevation gain 1,160 feet. The map is Green Trails Rattlesnake Mountain/Upper Snoqualmie Valley Map 205S.
