Description
Combining the crackled surface of raku ceramic with the transparency of cold-mold glass, Portland-based artist Judy Hill creates figurative sculptures that have an unexpectedly charged psychological presence. With over 10 figurines and 4 works on paper on display, Hill reinforces the figures' fragility through the exploitation of the medium's inherent lightness and draws the viewer into the inner life of the figure.
