The event honors the memory of Heather L. Hurd, a Harford Community College student who was killed by a distracted driver in 2008. Participants are encouraged to solicit a donation from at least 10 sponsors OR in lieu of soliciting sponsor pledges, pay an entry fee of $20 for adults or $10 for youth under 18 with registered adult. Entry fee includes refreshments and prizes. All proceeds will be used for Harford Community College âRemembranceâ Book Scholarships to honor and remember those who have lost their lives in highway fatalities and reduce the incidence through public awareness.
