Join us at Nature Book Club meetings, where we enjoy relaxed reading and discussion about nature, exploration and adventure. At our October meeting, we?ll discuss The Big Burn: Teddy Roosevelt and the Fire that Saved America by Timothy Egan about the lessons learned and the policies resulting from a massive and deadly wildfire in 1910. It's the story of efforts to fight the fire, the politics involved, attitudes toward the western wilderness, and the early days of the Forest Service. The November and December selections will be chosen by the group.
The Fiction Book Club will meet at Panera Bread Company in Vadnais Heights on County Road E and 35E on October 10, November 14, and December 12.
