Open Classroom - Middle East at Barrington Public Library

The Barrington Public Library, through major funding support from the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities, an independent state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, is proud to offer you a twelve-week Open Classroom series on the Middle East running on Thursdays, 7:00 to 8:30PM, from January 26th through April 12th. Register online or at the Reference Desk.
Over the twelve weeks, participants will learn about Middle Eastern history, religious practices, arts and culture, and economic and political development through 10 lectures and discussions led by local scholars of the Middle East, and two small group discussion evenings. Participants will also be able to explore readings recommended by the experts and interact through an online discussion board.
Registered participants will receive first access to seats.
Free and open to all.
