Welcome the holidays with Charles Gounod's treasured St. Cecilia Mass and a selection of opera excerpts: the prelude to Verdi's "Aida"; "E lucevan le stelle" from Puccini's "Tosca"; "Come dal ciel precipita" from Verdi's "Macbeth"; "Pace, pace, mio Dio" from Verdi's "La Forza del Destino"; "Si, pel ciel" from Verdi's "Otello"; and Act V of Gounod's "Faust." Jed Gaylin and the Hopkins Symphony are joined by soprano Lori Hultgren, tenor Richard Crawley, and bass Robert Cantrell, as well as the Johns Hopkins Choral Society and Goucher Chorus.
