il Lugano Hotel This workshop guides participants through the steps of developing a systematic review. The workshop includes presentations about Cochrane methodology and hands-on practice using the Cochrane Collaboration's Review Manager (RevMan) software.
Workshop Objectives:
Upon completion of this workshop, participants should be able to -
- Describe the steps required to critically appraise original research studies
- Describe the process used to collect and extract data from reports of original studies
- Enter and analyze data for a systematic review using the Cochrane Collaboration&39;s RevMan software
- Analyze, present, and interpret results of meta-analyses
- Identify and resolve questions and challenges encountered during the completion of a Cochrane systematic review
Who should attend:
Although designed for individuals who have published a protocol (or have a protocol approved for publication) in The Cochrane Library, the workshop is also open to those developing a title or preparing a protocol with a Cochrane Review Group.
Those interested in learning more about systematic reviews will be accepted if space permits.
