About The Backyard in Austin
Description
While it might not be close to downtown Austin (or many other places, for that matter), The Backyard at Bee Cave schedules legendary musicians that make the drive well worth it. Due the venue's scenic location amidst the natural beauty of Bee Cave, it prides itself on being environmentally conscious and improving not only its immediate surroundings, but worldwide. After all, it is the picturesque surroundings that heavily contributes to the popularity of this open air venue, and the reason so many performers that care about the planet show up to perform.
Opened in 1993, The Backyard isn't so much of an outdoor amphitheater or music hall as it is a stretch of open land with a stage built on it. Despite its minimalist appearance, the venue has scheduled infamous musicians like Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, and The Allman Brothers, for which tickets fly out of the box office. The extremely laid back and casual atmosphere of The Backyard has attracted music lovers and free spirits from around Austin, most who are dedicated to the venue's dedication to reducing their impact on the environment.
Since there's no marquee to see who will be performing next at The Backyard, check the schedule above and be sure to buy your tickets early.
