Description

As the largest theater in Austin, the Bass Concert Hall hosts some of the country's biggest musicians, comedians, and theater productions. The theater is located on the University of Texas at Austin campus and is a part of the Texas Performing Arts program. The theater's massive amount of seating, modernly framed stage, and superior lighting and sound systems have attracted audiences from around Austin to watch an event schedule full of both local and established musicians, plays fresh off Broadway, side-splitting celebrity comedians, and many other events. Bass Concert Hall is the only theater in Austin that can handle popular performers with large followings.

Built in 1981, the Bass Concert Hall was constructed accommodate the students of the University of Texas at Austin, but because of its superiority to other theaters in the area, quickly began showcasing performances for the public. The hall boasts amenities like a balcony on the sixth floor and a small cafe on the third floor, as well as concession areas scattered throughout.
