Mutt Match
Adult dogs and their foster parents will be on hand at the Austin Animal Center on
Saturday from 11am to 3pm to help adopters meet the perfect dog to take
from foster to forever!
Is he housetrained? Good with kids? Cats? How about other dogs? All of that important
information and more will be at an adopter’s fingertips at the Mutt Match.
Our Hard Luck Hounds “concierge service” will also be on hand to introduce visitors to
some of the great dogs IN the shelter who are looking for that special someone.
Adoption fees are WAIVED and all adoptions include a microchip, collar and tags,
spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations, and heartworm testing. All dogs are also up-to-
date on wellness such as a kennel cough vaccine, heartworm prevention, and flea & tick
prevention.
The Mutt Match will take place (weather permitting!) from 11:00 to 3:00 in front of the
new Austin Animal Center, on the plaza and the grassy quadrangle. The shelter itself
will be open regular business hours; 11am to 7pm.
