Back by popular demand, the author of bestseller Woodsburner returns to read from his book and provide advice to aspiring writers. John Pipkin is the former Executive Director of the Writersâ League of Texas, a non-profit and literary arts organization.
Woodsburner recounts the fire set to 300 acres of woods by the naturalist Henry David Thoreau. The book describes the effects of this fire on four main characters. Combining fiction with history, Woodsburner chronicles these changed lives with one final compelling character, the fire itself.

Woodsburner will also be available at the university bookstore.
