Event details: Visiting Writers Series Features Cyrus Cassells
Description
Cyrus Cassells will read from his forthcoming book, The Crossed-Out Swastika, which is scheduled for publication in 2010.The Crossed-Out Swastika tells the stories of young people who lived through World War II in Europe.Cassells is a professor of English at Texas State University in San Marcos and has served on the faculty of Cave Canem, the African American Poets Workshop. Among his honors are a Lannan Literary Award, a William Carlos Williams Award, a Pushcart Prize, two NEA grants, and a Lambda Literary Award. The event is free and open to the public and a light reception will follow.
