WGN member and spa president, Kim Stephens, and her co-owners are excited to host the WGN holiday party at The Woodhouse Day Spa. Kim will close the spa for the evening to the public to give WGN members unlimited access to this beautiful facility. Join us for an intimate evening of food, networking and fun. Experience quality beauty services, products and education while preparing for the holiday season and supporting a great cause, Dress for Success Austin. Judy Chambers, executive director for Dress for Success Austin, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, which opened its doors in October 2003 to provide job interview suits, confidence boosts and advice to help underprivileged women transition into the workforce will talk to us about her work with this important organization. Dress for Success Austin has served over 2,000 women in Travis, Hays, Bastrop, Williamson and Caldwell counties and expanded their services to include job retention and career development programs. Services are provided at no cost to clients or referral agencies so the organization depends on the generosity of local businesses and individuals. To help, registrants are asked to bring gently used black handbags or new cosmetics such as lipstick, nail polish or mascara for ÂÂ"cosmetics essential kitsÂÂ" that will be put together for DFS candidates. These kind of contributions help a woman walk into an interview looking professional and feeling confident. The evening will include tasty elegant food prepared by WGN member Vikki Bowen, Bowties 2 Blue Jeans Catering Company, trained at AustinÂÂ's very own Culinary Academy. Back by special demand of our members after our August event at the lake, Vikki has created a special menu for our holiday party.
