The City of Austin will host a Town Hall Meeting Saturday, Nov. 14, to discuss visions, ideas and recommendations about Downtown parks.
City representatives will be joined by the Downtown Austin Plan's lead consultant, ROMA Austin Collaborative Design Studio, which will make presentations about its recommendations for Downtown parks. The meeting will be from 9 a.m. to noon at the Austin Convention Center Ballroom C, 500 E. Cesar Chavez St.
Several key issues related to Downtown parks will be discussed including:
- Parks programming and activities.
- Priorities for implementation.
- Management, governance and financing.
The draft Parks and Open Space Master Plan will be available on the Downtown Austin Plan Web site at www.cityofaustin.org/downtown/downtownaustinplan.htm during the week beginning Nov. 2.
