Event details: Adoption Rocks! 2nd Annual Austin Music Event
Description
Inspired by the story of a Gladney family that traveled to Ethiopia last year to bring home their daughter, friends and neighbors hosted a live music event last November that supported the Gladney Center for Adoption. These Friends of Gladney have returned this year to plan the 2nd Annual Austin Music event supporting the Gladney Center and the cause of adoption overall. Tickets will go on sale later this year.
Two Shows, 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm

Patrice Pike
Patrice has performed on stage with many artists including Dave Matthews, Sarah McLachlan, Natalie Merchant, Blues Travelers, Allman Brothers and the Indigo . In 2006, Pike appeared as a finalist on the CBS reality show Rock Star: Supernova.
John Pointer
The extremely talented Pointer has done numerous nationally televised commercials as a human beatbox, played "Judas" in Zach Scott Theater's award-winning production of "Jesus Christ Superstar", and was a co-star on Fox Television's Prison Break. He has worked with Cirque du Soleil and performed with numerous bands and artists such as Peter Gabriel.
Dumpstaphunk
Formed in 2003, by brothers Ivan Neville and Ian Neville on a whim has grown to be the best performing funk band in New Orleans. The band was voted 2007's "Best New Band" by both Offbeat Magazine and Gambit Weekly and performs in some of the nation's largest music festivals such as Bonnaroo, Voodoo Fest and High Sierra.
