Walking Event: Aurora

Winter Wed. - Fri. Noon to 4:30 p.m. Sat. & Sun 9:30 to 4:30 p.m. Summer 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wed. to Sun. Closed Mon & Tues always. Call center for hours which may change. If you want to do the walk on a Monday or Tuesday call the Center or POC. Route goes through an urban wilderness along the beautiful Sand Creek Regional Greenway, a soft-surface trail that follows a high-plains stream lined with cottonwoods and willows. 10Km walk visits Sand Creek Park with its water features and natural areas. Center staff will share info on botany and wildlife. B Award is a beautiful antique silver finish European-style medal with ribbon from a previous walk at this location. Pets must be leashed. This walk is possible but very hard for wheelchairs.
