Bring in the New Year with Creativity, Rhythm and Rhyme!

Happy 2010 Everyone! I hope everyone had an enjoyable New Year's Eve reminiscing on the old and getting ready for the Brand New! Speaking of Brand New... Join us at a brand new Meetup spot that has opened their doors to welcome us right in the heart of Downtown Augusta! The Casa Blanca Cafe has been around for a while but I'm calling it New because we've never been there before! From 7:30 pm to 8 we'll have our Poetry Challenge and, of course, the Cafe has plenty of tasty treats and beverages available for purchase. There's nothing like a warm coffee or slice of cake to spark that inspiration! LOL Then from 8-9:30 ish, we'll share our work and have an 'Open Mic' session of your original creative writing/poetry and/or your favorite famous authors and poets work! Let's bring out the writing that touched you in 2009 to set a foundation for our 2010 notebooks! *Casa Blanca Cafe is located in the White's Building directly across from the Downtown Clock. We will be in the eclectic, artistic, oh so cool upstairs 'mezzanine' area...
