Music Director Eckehard Stier opens the season in dazzling style.
Don Juan is an orchestral tour de force, and here acts as a prelude to a concert of extraordinary colour. Prepare for the musical fireworks of Prokofiev’s virtuosic piano concerto performed by spectacular Ukrainain pianist Alexander Gavrylyuk.
This grand season opening concludes with the wild celebrations of Respighi’s Feste Romane.
