"One of the more astonishing stories in the Seattle-area music world during the past decade,†raves the Seattle P-I of the Auburn Symphony Orchestra. Led by Stewart Kershaw, music director and conductor of the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, the Auburn Symphony began as a fully professional orchestra in 1996 and performs a caliber of music that draws audiences from throughout the Puget Sound.
Fun fact: The symphony is comprised of 60 to 70 professional musicians who also play with the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, Northwest Chamber Orchestra, Northwest Sinfonietta and Seattle Opera
