February Comedy at the Ave 2012 at Auburn Avenue Dinner Theater

Cost: 15.00 to 17.00
Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to Comedy Night at The Ave, of course. Once a month the Auburn Ave Theater presents three comedians in one night to keep you laughing all night long. Featuring Headliner Bobby Tessel... Tessel strolls up to the microphone with the casualness of walking into his own living room. He raises his hand to give a slight wave to the crowd as he utters one word, "hi". The audience responds immediately with laughter. Within seconds of his arrival on stage, he has captured the crowd and squired them away into an atmosphere of comfortableness. For the next hour, Tessel rattles off joke after joke for his attentive throng. Moving from subject to subject, his coolness belies the tangential state of topics. Bobby Tessel is one of only a few comics to appear on both, "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", and "The Late Show with David Letterman". What does that mean? Not much really, but he's done it, have you? Bobby also won the Northern Californian Comedy Competition and was a Finalist in the San Francisco International Stand-Up Comedy Competition. After high school, Bobby attended Arizona State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. He then proceeded to utilize that education by pursuing a career in stand-up comedy. Tessel's first time on stage was to a packed house at the Funnybone Comedy Club in Cincinnati, and he destroyed the room. Since that night, he hasn't looked back. "I love stand-up", Tessel says, "I love putting words in a sequence, that no one in the entire world has ever thought of, in order to get a desired response, laughter. I think that's cool." So don't head to Seattle or Tacoma when can head right down to the Ave for great regional comedy.
