We need to get Ben Taylor, JamesTaylor and Carly Simon's son, in this venue. He travels and plays a lot with David Saw. If you have never heard of them, check them out on MySpace and their personal websites. They are awesome. Also call the radio stations and request their songs. Dave FM is playing "Wicked Way".

Description

The Tabernacle Atlanta is a remarkable 4 story downtown building backed by a century's worth of history. The Tabernacle Atlanta building was first opened as The Broughton Tabernacle, in which Pastor and Doctor, Leonard Gaston Broughton and a 4,000 strong congregation gathered to worship. However, after the congregation relocated in the mid-1980's, the Tabernacle Atlanta building lay vacant until the 1996 Olympic Games when it was developed into a House of Blues Club. After only two years, the venue was shut down. And so, the Tabernacle Atlanta concert hall was born in 1998. Since then, the historic building has become a major venue for Atlanta's concert goers. The Tabernacle Atlanta as we know it today, is a mid-sized concert hall with a capacity of 2,600 and is currently being managed by venue industry giants, Live Nation.

Over the years, Tabernacle Atlanta has played host to many famous names from the world of music. Elton John, Bob Dylan, Vampire Weekend, Scissor Sisters, Nelly and Paramore are just a few of those featured on the Tabernacle schedule in the past. The Tabernacle Atlanta also accommodates stand-up comedy as well as private events such as corporate occasions, fundraisers and proms.
