Drink in Design: Art Demo with Chris Hamer (Urbnpop)

Prepare to get dirty at Drink in Design Thursday, July 26. Atlanta based artist, Chris Hamer, Urbnpop, will collaborate with patrons to create a work of art, inspired by the unique ways that each of us expresses our creativity. Chris will use found objects (donated by patrons) paint and canvas to demonstrate his painting techniques and methods of recycling everyday items. Work right beside Chris during this extra special Drink in Design. Just don’t forget to wear your dirty, work clothes.

To contribute to the project, just drop off an object at MODA by Thursday, June 19. But, please send something that you don’t mind parting with, because objects will not be returned.

Chris Hamer is an imaginative illustrator, painter, and sculptor who is driven by an incredible passion for self-expression through art. His works are often noted for their unique style. Chris has developed an innovative style that blends Modern Street art with Comic Books and Cartoons and crosses it with Folk Art. His use of vibrant colors and strong lines make his work an excellent choice for a wide range of projects and purposes. Chris is accomplished in using traditional methods as well as modern technique. Cost: Payment required - Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, teachers and military, and $5 for students and children over 5. Members are free and drinks are complimentary.
