The Doug Dank Project is a long-form style improv show, fusing the unpredictable and impulsive nature of improvisation with the steadiness and permanence of true life stories. 2008 Creative Loafing Critics' Pick - Best Improv Show "Atlanta's had a healthy, lively improv scene for so long that it can support some unusual, creative variations on the off-the-cuff comedy style. THE DOUG DANK PROJECT offers a breezy showcase for long-form improv while strengthening its connections to nontheatrical Atlanta. A study in “monology” inspired by mythic monologuist Doug Dank, the Project features a guest storyteller who shares tales from his own experience. The ensemble, mostly regulars from Dad's Garage, then comes up with scenes loosely inspired by the stories." Wednesday nights @ 10pm, $5.
