Description
The Atlanta History Centers newest exhibition, In the Classical Tradition: Designs by Philip Trammell Shutze, highlights Shutzes career of more than half a century during which he produced over seven hundred architectural designs for a variety of structures, including not only residences, such as Swan House, but commercial, educational, religious, and other buildings. In many cases, his plans included details for garden ornaments, gate and fence patterns, lighting and decorative fixtures, column capitals and molded plaster motifs, as well as other architectural elements and devices. In the Classical Tradition: Designs by Philip Trammell Shutze is free to the public and available to view Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the Kenan Research Center at the Atlanta History Center.
