The band Shift is a newer band to the local music scene of Anderson, and other surrounding counties. Though most of the band members of Shift have been together for a couple of years they just recently started playing live shows on a regular basis in January of 2007. Shift got their career started off by recording a demo disc at the Worley Brother’s Studio in Seneca, South Carolina which is owned and run by Jeff and Chris Worley, both members of the band Jackyl. Founded in early 1995 by members of several of Atlanta’s bands, The Despised blend fierce punk chord structures, powerful hardcore vocals and aggressive hardcore rhythms to produce one of the Southeast’s most relentless, unforgiving hardcore/punk bands to ever take an Atlanta stage.
