Founded in 1978, the American Brachytherapy Society (ABS) is a nonprofit organization that seeks to provide insight and research into the use of brachytherapy in malignant and benign conditions. The organization consists of physicists, physicians, and other health care providers interested in brachytherapy. Members of Americas first brachytherapy society, the ABS (formerly known as the Endocurietherapy Society) are among the leaders in brachytherapy. With our international colleagues in GEC-ESTRO and ALATRO, and other international brachytherapy professionals and professional societies, 2008s World Congress of Brachytherapy will provide a unique forum and opportunity for reporting new developments in brachytherapy.
