Home Made in Athens County

Before Wal-Mart, Target, and Kmart, and even instead of the local old-time general store, many of Athens County rural residents and townspeople depended on their own skills and creativity to supply themselves with basic needs. Household and farm items such as clothing, blankets, tools, and food were made in the home for the use of the home.
