Smokey’s Farmland Band | 7:00 PM
Smokey's Farmland band was formed in 2004 when friends who played music and camped out together on Smokey's land decided to collaborate and further their music. The music is a great mixture of bluegrass, funk, reggae, gipsy, acoustic jazz, and mixture of different progressive jams. Currently the band consists of Jared Womack (guitars/dobro/vocals), Justin Roberts (upright bass), Rurik Nunan (violin/vocals), Ian Newberry (guitar), and Trey Gibbs (mandolin/vocals). Among many accomplishments Smokeys Farmland Band was given the opportunity to play at The Blue Ridge Harvest Festival 2004 with such acts as Bob Weir & Ratdog, Medeski Martin & Wood, Derek Trucks Band, Tony Rice, Karl Densons Tiny Universe, and many others. Smokeys Farmland Band plans to continue playing scheduled festivals and different local shows building a solid following of unique like-minded friends. more >>>

FROM THE OUTSIDE, A 30 foot smoke stack anchors the venue's entry tower while three glass and metal garage doors blend the exterior patio with the interior space. A warm palette of brick and stucco recall the old Foundry. This makes The Melting Point a comfortable and inviting addition to the Foundry Park Inn. ONCE INSIDE, guests will experience an intimate music venue with seats within 50 feet of the stage on three levels.
