Description
Classic Film Series: Hitchcock's The 39 Steps. Sponsored by the Georgia Museum of Art. Introduction by Janice Simon, Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Associate Professor in Art, Lamar Dodd School of Art; Filmed in the UK in 1935, the film is loosely based on the novel of the same name by John Buchan. A man finds himself wrongly accused of murdering a woman he just met. The film charts both his escape and his quest to identify the true killers and break up an espionage ring. 7:00 p.m. Georgia Museum of Art. Contact: collardj@uga.edu
