How did two good boys from conservative Texas end up arrested on terrorism charges at the 2008 Republican National Convention? This film follows the journey of David McKay and Bradley Crowder from political neophytes to accused terrorists, thanks to a radical activist mentor turned informant. In the vein of MountainSummit 2011’s ’If A Tree Falls,” this is a story of idealism, loyalty, crime and betrayal, plus the War on Terror and its impact on civil liberties and political dissent in post-9/11 America. Considering how the Occupy Wall Street movement has once again radicalized views of the right to free assembly, this film could be prologue for the political conventions coming later this year.
