Description
This Open House, sponsored by the Lost Vikings Hoard and the Ashville Community Club is held in preparation for the Viking Festival held in the spring. Open house includes hands on demonstrations of Viking Games, Crafts, and Artisan skills. Displays of Historical Viking artifacts and Viking reproductions will be on display along with Viking re-enactors.
Demonstrations include: Rope winding, Shield Wall, Offensive/Defensive Techniques, Weaving, Interactive period games, 101 uses for urine, Leather work, Working with fur, Armoring, Wood Carving, Lessons on Viking Childhood, Wire Weaving, Harp playing, Blacksmith, Metal Casting.
