M-F, 8:30 to 5:30: Sat and Sun, 9 to 5. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's. Enjoy portions of the Urban Trail through vibrant art deco downtown as you experience the ambience of a designated "All American City". Visit the restored Grove Arcade with new shops, restaurants, grocery store and condos that are now in place to depict its original uniqueness as an indoor shopping mall back in the 1920s. You'll walk by the Thomas Wolfe Home, which reopened in May 2004 after being closed since 1998 for extensive restoration that was needed after a fire. This is an excellent home to visit. Visit several old neighborhoods of Asheville, the new Greenway along Weaver Blvd which goes past UNCA and into the Botanical Gardens. Walk thru the historic Montford District with old homes and several B&Bs. Spectacular view of Grove Park Inn, a 5 star resort. 3km option includes Riverside Cemetery where O'Henry, Thomas Wolfe and Zebulon Vance are buried.
