SEEGER, written and performed by Randy Noojin, plays at North Carolina Stage Company, 15 Stage Lane, Asheville, NC, June 14-June 25, Wed. through Sat. at 7:30 PM & Sun. at 2:00 PM. Sing-along with America’s beloved folksinger/activist Pete Seeger at a benefit in Washington, D.C. advocating free speech and a free press in Cuba, where he uses his signature songs, If I Had a Hammer, Turn, Turn, Turn, Where Have All the Flowers Gone, We Shall Overcome, plus archival photos and video, to tell the story of his personal struggles for free speech and free association in McCarthy-era America.

“I was blown away, Noojin came on stage and effectively resurrected Pete Seeger, he’s a dynamite folk singer, and he’s written a brilliant script that perfectly captures the spirit and passions of Pete Seeger.” - Hyreviews
