Yes, it IS possible to have a printmaking studio! Instructor will share insights on setting up a horizontally-challenged studio as well as give instruction on how to mix and use safe etching solutions to use with aluminum, zinc or copper plates without a fume hood. The student will prepare and etch an aluminum plate and make prints from it using a hand-press and/or a “Baby Richardson” etching press. The instructor will provide opportunity for the students to experiment with printing provided collagraphs, printing blocks and monotypes. Students should bring a notebook and pencil and an image to scribe onto the aluminum plate or use an image provided.

Cost: Payment required - $125 includes materials
