In the 1930's (before there was HDTV, the internet or even computers, IPADs or IPODs, MP3s, cellphones and all the other "conveniences" we've come to know in our time) there was only 3 ways that people got their entertainment. One was the radio, another was records (you remember those flat round black things with the hole in the middle?)- the other was getting dressed up and going to a restaurant or nightclub for dining and dancing to a real big band. Russ Wilson (World famous orchestra leader) has recaptured the atmosphere of a 1930's nightclub with his ART DECO REVUE and this year it's bigger and better than ever. YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS - READ ON. This year's REVUE will feature: Everyone's favorite announcer PAUL ADAMS, RUSS WILSON conducting his 15 Piece NOUVEAU PASSE ORCHESTRA, Those temptresses of terpsichore THE TACKY ANNIES Classic burlesque by the divine PAIGE TURNER The tapping toes of TINA FOOR The vocal stylings of WENDY HAYES, HANK BONES, TOM DONNELLY THE SIREENS and THE RHYTHM BOYS. And such illustrious jazz musicians as JON CORBIN, RICH WILLEY, NATHAN HEFNER and ZACK PAGE Our intermission music will be provided by JE WIDENHOUSE AND HIS ROARING LIONS! The Revue will be in the Crystal Room of The Grove House 11 Grove St., Asheville, NC. Tickets will be $20 per person in advance (and can be purchased at www.brownpapertickets.com) and $25 at the door. Doors will open at 7:00 - Showtime is 8:00. We are encourage everyone to come dressed in there best vintage wear - you're coming to see a 30's show. You want to look the part!! Come spend an evening in a 1930's nightclub.
