      Intermediate Screenwriting Class

Intermediate Screenwriting is taught by local award-winning screenwriter Andrew Shearer. He will lead students through an expansion of screenwriting for feature films, meeting once a week, from 6:30 to 9:30 PM for 8 weeks, beginning March 28th (NEW DATE), 2017.

During the 8 week course, students will expand upon concepts discussed and practiced in Intro to Screenwriting, and further develop their feature screenplay idea into a completed project.

Upon arrival to the course, students will come with a fully prepared feature script outline, building from their concept developed in Intro to Screenwriting, to be written and completed as a feature script over the 8-week period of the course. There will be various advanced lectures on screenwriting theory and practical exercises in order to assist in the execution, as well as constant in-class workshop and critique. By the end of the course, students will have at minimum a first draft of a feature script, if not a first revision.

Tuition for the course is $525, with returning students qualifying for a 20% discount. A 20% deposit ($105) is required 2 weeks prior to class to guarantee placement.
