      1-4pm

      Highland Brewing Company Outdoor Meadow

From maple bacon doughnuts and bacon caramel corn to pork belly creations and bacon infused beer, BaconFest Asheville presented by 105.9 the Mountain is a celebration of all things swine. Chefs from some of Asheville's best restaurants will showcase their culinary creations using bacon or pork and compete in categories including sweet and savory plus "The Most Outrageous Use of Bacon/Pork" and "Best Overall Dish". The best part - you get to be the judge. After sampling dishes to your heart's content, turn in your ballot and help determine which restaurant will be crowned Top Hog.

This family-friendly event also features a good ole' fashioned pig pickin' with local musicians, a pigskin toss contest and other fun games. Tickets are $10 per person, children 12 and under free. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit Blue Ridge Food Ventures.
