Driving Directions
The Master Singers of Virginia, a 34-member a cappella ensemble under the direction of Dr. Erik Jones, explores the evolution of holiday music in its December concerts, "From Chant to Carol: Christmas Music based on Gregorian chant and plainsong".
This exciting Master Singers performance begins with early chants from well-known composers, followed by modern pieces influenced by such chants, and finishing the concert with a series of breathtaking arrangements of traditional carols. The concert will be preceded by an informative lecture and followed by a reception.
The Washington Post has declared, "The Master Singers of Virginia is among the state's finest choral ensembles." Celebrating its 15th anniversary this season, the group is dedicated to bringing the highest quality choral music to the people of Northern Virginia and DC.
