5th Annual NOVA Cool Cats Charity Biker Run In association with the Mediterranean Breeze Restaurant and the Ashburn Volunteer Fire & Rescue, with assistance provided by the Southern Cruisers Riding Club - Loudoun Chapter. Proceeds will benefit the NOVA Cool Cats 'Special' Hockey Team. Special Hockey Northern Virginia exists for the enrichment of the athlete with a developmental disability. In addition to physical hockey skills, the program emphasizes the development of desirable individual characteristics such as; dependability, self-reliance, concentration, willingness to share, and personal accountability. The game of hockey is used by Special Hockey Northern Virginia to develop within each player the characteristics that will help him or her be more successful both inside and outside a hockey environment. Biker Run Details When: Saturday, August 29, 2009 (Rain date Sunday, August 30th.) Where: ASHBURN VOLUNTEER FIRE & RESCUE, 20688 Ashburn Road, Ashburn, VA. Time: Registration & breakfast begin at 8:30am. Ride starts at 10:00am and will cover approximately 100 miles through the beautiful Northern Virginia countryside ending at 2:00pm at the MEDITERRANEAN BREEZE RESTAURANT, 20693 Ashburn Rd, Ashburn. Cost: $30 per rider, $10 per passenger - Includes a complete breakfast at the MEDITERRANEAN BREEZE RESTAURANT! For those not participating in the Biker Run, you can still do the breakfast - Cost is $10 per person. Lunch and beverages will be available for a nominal charge after the ride. Non-motorcyclist are invited to participate! Format: 5-card draw. (Extra hands can be purchased for $5.) Prizes: Prizes go to the best three poker hands and there will be many drawings for door prizes. Please go to www.novacoolcats.org for updates to the Biker Run.
