Caffeinated Careers Club (Arvada) Meetup

At the Caffeinated Careers Club, our meeting format is for each individual to: 1) Stand up 2) State your name 3) Say the magic networking phrase "at your service" - right after your name, because we believe in a "giving-first" approach to networking 4) Say what type of job you are pursuing 5) Say the names of two or three companies into which you need an introduction 6) Complete the teambuilding activity of the day TRADITIONS We have a number of fun traditions in the group, like bringing chocolate to share with others once you have accepted a new position. Do's Smile Dress appropriately (not interview-worthy, but a respectable business casual) Say a big THANK YOU to any group member who offers you information or advice, whether you intend to use it or not. Keep to the format. Do try to help others. Don'ts Don't be negative. Don't tell us about the stuff that makes you mad, sad, frustrated, or desperate. This is job search networking, not a gripe session. Don't frown or scowl. When people try to help you, don't block it. Just say thank you. Don't take up too much time. Don't sell products or services.
