Event details: NOVA Runners 18-Mile Training Run #01
Description
ALL RUNNERS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN, but these runs apply primarily to late-Winter, Spring, and early Summer marathon or half-marathon competitors. Details: (1) Runners will meet in the Roosevelt Island Parking Lot (along the GW Parkway - North) at 8:30am SHARP. (2) We will drive to Mt. Vernon (George Washington's property) and enter the trail entrance (Mile #0). The run will begin at 9:00am. (3) The runners will run at their own pace from Mt. Vernon to the end of the trail near the Key Bridge/Roslyn (Mile #18). (4) After the run, I will drive the runner(s) back to their car(s) parked at Mt. Vernon. ALL RUNNERS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN HYDRATION, GU, PACE, TIME, and CLOTHING. THE USE OF HYDRATION BELTS, GU, GLIDE STICKS, AND iPODS/WALKMEN ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED!!! SAFETY SUGGESTION: Bring a metro card and/or cash to get on the train or bus if you are unable to complete the course. QUESTIONS: Email Kevin at classicsag@yahoo.com.
